alright, so last week i made quite a few phone calls. i found out that my other two service interests cancelled on me. surprise. so then this week i continued to not capitalize and i also turned in my application to the mental health america on state street in lafayette. they said they would call on tuesday, they didnt. i called them wednesday, and then i went down and visited them thursday.... and still nada from them. cold shoulder 11/10 :(
right now, i need to do all day saturdays, and monday and wednesday nights to actually meet my requirements...
anyways, more homework now that i've finished all my tests
Wow, that really sucks! I’m sorry to hear that, man. On a positive note, at least you won’t have to be compiling hours from multiple sources. And I mean, if you work five six-hour days, you will be completely done. It may not be as daunting as it seems! Nonetheless, you are right that you have a fair amount of work to get done. Hopefully you will be doing things that are interesting though; not too painful and keeping you occupied. If there isn’t a lot of work for you to do, I’m sure they always need somebody to sit around and answer the phones and such. In this case, you could do homework there, and just answer the phone and do whatever various tasks they need you to do as they come up. After all, service partners are usually pretty reasonable and flexible, and happy to get any help you have to offer. Good luck, and I hope it all turns out well for you without too much stress or sleep loss!
ReplyDeleteThat sucks! Hopefully...Hopefully something works out! I know the International Center is always taking volunteers as Conversation Partners, and maybe it isn't something you want to do, but it's easy and flexible. But keep at it! I'm sure you can make it to the 30 hour mark!
ReplyDeleteI use to think that my location was being picky. Looking back at what my location made me do to volunteer there and my problems seem so much smaller than yours. Seeing to as I already you know that you got the hours by the time this comment is up, it seems you were successful.
